Liz Read - public relations consultant

Liz Read is a leading public relations consultant with a successful career in public and private sector corporate affairs,  reputation and communications management and social marketing.

Liz’s corporate public relations experience has included time as General Manager of Marketing & Communications for DairyNZ, the industry good organisation that helps dairy farmers to be competitive and responsible; and ten years as External Relations Director for Lion, one of New Zealand’s biggest FMCG companies and the country’s largest alcoholic beverages company. She was a member of Lion’s New Zealand leadership team and her responsibilities included corporate and government affairs, as well as leadership of Lion’s community investment and sustainability strategies.

Before Lion, Liz spent 14 years in the public sector primarily in marketing and communications roles specialising in social marketing, public education and communications management.

Liz is a Member of the Institute of Directors and is Independent Chair of Hawke’s Bay based 3R Group Ltd, a product stewardship consultancy.
